10 October 2015 - Prague to Brno
Saturday, 10th October 2015
This morning we said a sad goodbye to our wonderful hosts in Prague. There were quite a few tears shed and it was so touching to see how quickly our children crawled into the hearts of their hosts. Without fail every host is SO complimentary about our children and one could see that our little ambassadors are doing their jobs very well. We were spoilt rotten and Katerina, Jan, Eva, Martin and the rest of the team from the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir did their utmost to make our stay successful, changing almost every arrangement at the last minute to accommodate us and the rainy weather!
The trip to Brno took just over two hours and by now the kids were very happy to meet their new hosts. They have learnt a lot during the past week - mostly that people are kind and just want the best for them, even if they do start off as perfect strangers. We hope that they had a relaxing afternoon and evening, had some time to rearrange their suitcases and get their washing done. For the adults, who areall together in a hotel in the middle of town (courtesy of our wonderful hosts), it was also lovely to enjoy a relaxed supper together, without having to keep an eye out for the 'red ants'!
Tomorrow morning the caves and tomorrow evening the concert. We've seen the church from the outside and it looks as if this is going to be another excellent experience.
Good night all.
