Eastern Cape Children's Choir
The Eastern Cape Children’s Choir was founded in 1982. It consists of between 50 and 60 children of all races and cultures, between the ages of 10 and 15 years. The children represent schools throughout the larger Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality and surrounding towns, including Addo, Jeffrey’s Bay and Patensie.
In October 2012 the ECCC returned from their 11th international concert tour. During the tour they were hosted in 7 cities, with 11 formal performances, as well as a multitude of informal concerts. The choir had the audiences on their feet at every concert and received many compliments regarding their professionalism, discipline and deep understanding of the complex music they were performing.
